- Robinia (black locust) is naturally Class 1–2 durability without chemical preservatives. It resists rot and insects for 25+ years above ground. Pressure-treated pine typically requires retreating every 5–8 years.
- Do wooden playgrounds require more maintenance than metal or plastic?
